Sixth Annual Client Advisor Awards Program Showcases Transformational Professional Services Firms And Clients Of Choice

ATLANTA (February 1, 2012) – In its sixth year, the Client Advisor Awards, the country’s only Award program honoring the impact of Professional Services Firms, yesterday recognized six organizations that set the standard for client advisor professionalism.

“Professional Services Firms are an under-recognized force that have an enormous impact on our economy and on our communities,” said Andrew Dietz, Managing Partner of Creative Growth Group, Inc.  “The U.S. Census identifies the business and professional services industry as a $1.2 trillion marketplace,” Dietz said.

The global law firm, McDermott Will & Emery, was the 2012 Client Advisor Awards winner in the large professional firm category.  “We are honored and thrilled to be recognized with this prestigious award and we’re equally privileged to work with extraordinary clients who bring out our best work,” said Michael Boykins, Partner with McDermott Will & Emery who accepted the Award on the Firm’s behalf.

Client professionalism was also honored at the 2012 Client Advisor Awards program.  “Client professionalism is as important as advisor professionalism in realizing results for clients. The Client Advisor Awards honor exceptional professionals and also an elite group of clients who are intentionally superb at managing their professional services relationships - ‘Clients of Choice’.  Every year, major business publications rank the best places to work…we identify the ‘best places to advise’.”

The media powerhouse, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, was the 2012 Client Advisor Awards winner in the large client category.  “Creativity and innovation don’t just come from within a company.  You’ve got to intelligently provoke and inspire the best ideas from outside as well as inside your organization.  The design firms that support our business are essential success and innovation partners for Twentieth Century Fox,” said riCardo Crespo, SVP Global Creative with Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, who accepted the Award on the company’s behalf.

The Client Advisor Awards keynote speaker for 2012 was Todd Henry, author of the acclaimed book, The Accidental Creative:  How To Be Brilliant At A Moment’s Notice  and founder and Managing Director at Accidental Creative, a Cincinnati-based media, marketing and consulting firm that helps clients move from being accidentally creative to being intentionally so.  Henry shared purposeful practices to help professional services advisors experience everyday brilliance. “To better leverage a Firm’s creative capabilities, firm leaders need to develop innovation disciplines in their organizational culture and encourage creative practices in their professionals’ careers and lives so they are more likely to have great ideas when they, the firm and their clients need them most.  You want to establish a rhythmic ideation process rather than just trying to generate ideas when you are sporadically required.  Instead, create them on a regular basis as a discipline” explained Henry.  “Kudos to Creative Growth Group and The Client Advisor Awards program for recognizing the importance of creativity and innovation in professional services firms and in the best clients to advise,” Henry added.
